IHIE Council and Committees

IHIE is run by its members. IHIE's main policy body, Council comprises of:

five officers (President, 2 Vice Presidents, Past President and Treasurer)
fifteen directly elected Ordinary and Regional Members
up to four Nominated Members
two Graduate/Student Members

The officers are elected by Council in March, take office at the June AGM normally serve two years.

Join Council

Download the Nomination Form and return it to IHIE by 18 MARCH.

One third of the elected members retire each year before the June annual general meeting. You need six proposers to sign your nomination and you need to tell us about yourself.

Ballot papers go out to all members in May if there are more people than vacancies.

Members can serve for two terms of three years, but must then stand down for at least a year.
