Local IHIE branches
See below for a list of local branches, relevant contacts and information.
IHIE branches cover the UK. They run site visits, CPD seminars, technical meetings and presentations and occasional social events.
You can keep up to date, widen your professional contacts and meet many of your professional development needs at branch meetings.
All branches are run by committees of members elected at their AGM. You are very welcome to contribute. Graduates and student members can sit on branch committees. Only the posts of chair and vice chair are reserved for corporate members. You are also welcome to attend local and national meetings of the Institute of Asphalt Technology (with whom IHIE has a formal memorandum of understanding), the Institution of Highways and Transportation and the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Normally members' rates apply if there is a charge. Engineering Council Institutions are equally welcoming - visit their websites:

Review Workshops

This is a free workshop designed to compliment the national Preparing for Review courses. It is not a substitute for the course, instead it allows members to discuss their evolving review submissions with senior mentors and reviewers from IHIE.
