6th Highway Asset Management Conference - Sustainability: In Practice
26 January 2010, ICE, SW1P
The conference will look at practical ways of integrating sustainability issues across the spectrum of highways asset management. It will address the balancing of the three component parts of sustainability, (environmental protection, economic performance, social prosperity) throughout the asset management process - but all with a very practical bias.
We will also focus on materials specification, energy and waste management, and risk mapping techniques in flood management and eco-system protection. It will also allow all those attending a chance to learn new procedures and practical ways of embedding their sustainability objectives into specific action plans for their road assets, with appropriate evaluation methods. Steve Spender, Vice President IHE will be speaking.
