Forums of development control engineers meet regularly in Wales (d.adlam@neath-porttalbot.gov.uk), Southern and Eastern England (cherylhindle@southend.gov.uk), South West (philtilley@wiltshire.gov.uk) and occasionally in the Midlands.

MfS Misconceptions

Alan Young, co-author of Manual for Streets, has drawn attention to misconceptions regarding the visibility guidance. Some authorities are using table 4.1 to justify applying DMRB to streets with traffic flows of more than 2000 VPD. Alan demonstrates the fallacy of this argument.
