2. IHIE Professional Certificate
The IHIE Professional Certificate in Traffic Signal Control is endorsed by the CSS Traffic Signal Group, and is being used by TfL to independently certify the competence of its staff.
The Certificate is open to all - there are no academic entry pre-requisites - you don't need to be an IHIE member.
Candidates submit a report of their experience and a portfolio of supporting documents in a choice drawn from a list of 40 competences.
The award is at 3 levels: Foundation, Practitioner and Expert.
The IHIE Certificate Steering Committee includes representatives from local authorities, consultants, signals companies and the CSS TSG
