The IHIE helps engineers and technicians at all levels in highways, traffic and transportation to achieve and to maintain the highest standards of professional competence.

IHIE aims to be an active, responsive and democratic institution. Members matter to IHIE: all technical Institute events are organised by members, IHIE mentors and reviewers help colleagues gain registration and policy positions are written by members.

IHIE provides professional leadership and development by sharing knowledge and standards based on integrity, fairness and quality. We are the Institute for all practitioners improving the highway environment and delivering a safe, sustainable transport system.
