Health and Safety Test
You need to pass a CSCS Health and Safety Test at the relevant Supervisor or Manager level.
The Health and Safety Test is a 60 minute multiple choice test on health and safety in construction. It is a screen based test and there are a maximum of 50 questions to answer, 30 of which can be in highways. You can do the test during the daytime, in the evening or on a Saturday.
You need to buy the book listing all questions and answers when you book a date. You are advised to read it thoroughly.
Please note that the Professionally Qualified Person's (PQP) test has a different set of questions.
It is helpful to prepare for the test by attending a construction health and safety awareness course. For details, phone Skills Direct.
If you gained the NEBOSH Construction Certificate within the last two years you are exempt from the test.
