IHIE is the only professional Institution which puts mainstream highway and transportation engineers and technicians first.
IHIE welcomes all practitioners in the industry - particularly the specialists.
Our members work in traffic engineering, highway maintenance, development control, materials, road safety, design, transportation planning, signal control, sustainable transport and road safety.
There's an IHIE grade for all established practitioners and new entrants in highway transportation.
There are routes to Fellow, our top grade, for all.
You can access all IHIE grades, regardless of your academic qualifications or whether you have or want Engineering Council registration, if you have sufficient experience and responsibilities.
